I have the Edelbrock Performer RPM heads (Angle Plug) and have Flowtech (Holley) headers with no problems. I use Autolite AR3924 spark plugs and Taylor wires with 90 degree boots. I have no problems other than a couple of plugs are tight to replace. I just have to use a open end wrench on the hex of the plug socket as I cant get a ratchet on the socket.

I've had my heads about 3 months. Purchased through Summit. I ordered the headers at the same time as the heads. With the Autolite plugs and the Taylor wires it IS tight but everything clears.

It can't be that much to have an exhaust shop modify that one primary tube for you. If you can't return the heads, just get it done already.

For problems, there are only solutions.

I intend to,the post is for people to know not to go the root i did,and to let them know these heads are not just bolt up and go,for now until a header company starts making headers to fit our cars.
Also if i had headers that were coated ,it would be a real bitch wouldnt it.I would have to get them recoated for about $300.00 or more.So you see this thread could realy help someone else.

I would cancel the charge on my crediitcard and tell the company what they said that they dont care

already have them and bolted up on engine, and had intake custom welded to fit heads because theres not that many intakes that work with the heads ,my fault for not real researching about the heads, but it doesnt tell nothing about the heads in any advertisments. You take for granted that they will fit everything,or at lease you think so because it doesnt tell you about that part.i guess thats my fault too.Ive really learn in todays market you need to REALLY RESEARCH about what you want to buy, dont take for granted it will fit.Its a small block chevy for gods sake

Don't blame yourself too much, you can only check so many things. Many companies have the philosophy that the customer is the final inspector and it's his responsibility to make sure everything is Ok before he uses the article. Makes a great excuse for management to feel good about themselves for not having screwed someone with defective or poorly engineered products by putting the blame on the customer who now has to pay for it after he's installed the item.

Thanks for posting this information on your troubles, it may be good information for someone else, hope you get things worked out OK.

There was one guy who said he got lucky with flow tech headers, keep the thread in mine when you go to look for headers,or maybe the big header makers will start making headers for the new stuff.

I have FlowTech's also, when I had my ZZ4 heads with angle plugs they were perfect, no problem at all. I have only a slight issue with #4 plug boot being close with these Brodix heads.
