81, 350/350... just spent 3k replacing from the front u-joint back under the car. new bearings,seals,bushings,u-joints x6, diff, brakes,ect $$$$$
anyways, just had new tires and a 4 wheel done on her. When I drive it I can hear a "howl" in that sweet spot not on thottle not off thottle.
Now I know the rear end is only a few inches away from my butt only seperated by some fiberglass. Is this a normal sound? a corvette sound.

My 80 does that, just as you descibed, @ 50 or so. I call it flooting along. Its quiet on accel, and decealeration. I known not why ? As YODA would say. Bump to top. GTR 1999 can answer this, I think.
