Default Dimmer Switch "Pedal"????

Is there something like a "pedal" under the carpet and over the dimmer switch on '69's? I see a mounting point on the floor board under the dimmer switch, but nothing there. Can't see anything in the AIM either.

My '76 has it.

Guess it just keeps the button from making a hole in the carpet?

Yep, I just helped a friend by installing the floor switch in a '74. The carpet is molded to fit over the pedal, which screws to the floor.

My 68 has it
Goes under the carpet so you don't see it; looks like a plastic gas pedal slightly larger than the actual gas pedal you have in the car.
Bolted down with two bolts/screws

Thanks everyone. That's what I was looking for. Now, does anyone sell new ones?

Yes,

Email sales at willcox@willcoxcorvette.com.

Don't call, Norm or Tony won’t have a clue where to find one! But Tommy, the person that works these emails will either find you one in our used parts or find me tomorrow and I'll check as soon as I get a chance.

If Tommy can't find you one, I'll see if I can find one for you as soon as possible.
If you email Tommy, leave him a phone number where I can call you at, but I’m pretty sure I have the pedal and possibly the hardware you need to go with it.

Regards,

Willcox

I found one at a "used-corvette parts" place (I won't say "junk yard" for obvious reasons). Thanks to all for pictures, since mine was missing I didn't even know if it existed, let alone what it looked like.
