not cranking....
so my battery is fully charged, but the motor wont turn over. dash lights slowly come on, blower motor sometimes runs, turn the key and all the lights dim out and blower stops. it did this a couple times and i was able to wiggle the wires at the starter / solenoid, and bring it back to life. now that doesnt work. is there some way to track this down with a multimeter or is this something obvious? i should mention that i am not a mechanic, but someone who wants to learn. thanks for any insight.

It doesn't sound like you are getting full power. Check your battery connections and cables and have the battery load tested. Advance or Autozone will check the battery for free.

It maybe a bad ground from the battery to the frame. Ground seeks out connections such as shift, speedo and emergency brake cables. Non of which provide adequate cranking voltage as the direct frame .
