weiand stealth
there are tons of threads talking about the lack of selection for 454 intakes. some have said that the weiand stealth or the weiand street warrior will fit under the stock hood as well. so far all i can find is speculation. has anyone actually confirmed that either one of those will work. even if an aftermarket air cleaner is needed i would love to hear from someone who has actually installed one and got the hood closed instead of just speculated.

At one time I tried the Stealth on a 73 - 454 and it was too tall with stock carb, so I gave up and went back to the stock. I have found that with a stock intake on the 454, a 3/4" adaptor plate I can run either a Holley or a Edelbrock carb.

Weiand has that new warrior intake out. It looks like a good intake. They sent me the measurements; however I have yet to try it. It looks close. I don't think its been tried on here yet.

yeah i think you posted the measurements if i am not mistaking.
i believe it was just a little taller than the edelbrock torker.
thanks for all the info. some people have posted here that the stealth will fit so its nice to see someone who actually tried it chime in.
looks like i can put that bid in on the 427 intake on ebay afterall.
