Tremec is the type of transmission
Keisler is the company who modifies it and sells the kit. http://www.keislerauto.com/
The other is Classic Chevy 5 speed but they sold and it is a different name now, Classic motorsports group. http://www.cms-grp.com/
Both companies are good and I have heard good and bad about both. I have the Keisler kit in my car and could not be happier with the kit and service they have given me.
l think the main changes they make to the basic transmission is their shifter linkage modifications that allow the shifter to fit in the stock location for the car involved (without modification to the car).
I have Keisler's in my '69 and '73 and couldn't be happier.

Ralph.
Correct. I just did mine with the kit from Classic Chevy 5 Speed. The main difference is in the shifter, and how it is mounted to the transmission. Call both and discuss, they are both very helpful. Bottom line, I don't think you can go wrong whichever you choose.

We're still known to some as Classic Chevy 5 Speed, however since we also do conversion kits for Mopar and sell transmissions for Fords we changed the name to Classic Motorsports Group.
We were acquired by B&M Racing last year and are now a B&M company along with Hurst and McLeod Industries. We're still going strong and are here to provide what ever you need for your conversion to overdrive!
There are several manufacturers that are building Tremec kits for our cars. Keisler and Classic Motorsports Group are just two of the biggest. Amp is another company that advertises a lot although I think there are some forum members that had issues of some kind with them. My dad got a much more affordable kit for his 67 BB from a more local distributor calle Darkhorse Motorsports (WA state). There are several options, but it's hard to argue with the reputation and expertise of Keisler and CMG.
of course you could always get a shop to build you a T-5 that bolts right in...
FYI
There isn't a T5 that bolts right in. There are a few parts you need to make this work and as long as you don't have much more than a 250 horse motor you will be fine.
Where as a Keisler modified TKO is a direct bolt in with no modifications and our kits come will all the correct parts to do the job.
Skspeed built my T-5 and it is rated for 450 ft-lbs of jerk (derivative of jerk aka shock). This means it can hold much more. My transmission will work on a 700 hp car as long as whole shots are not done. Customer support was incredible and very few modifications were needed.
