72 shift console question
Did the 72 with auto. trans. have a pointer in the gear selector lens, so you know which gear you are in and was it lighted?

Jim is correct, 72 did not have a pointer under the lens.

Hello,
I am restoring my center console this month on my 72.
It did not have a pointer on the shift plate.
It has the clear lens, then a metal strip with the
gear numbering, and is held in place with a chrome
metal bracket. At the bottom of the bracket is a
hole for the lamp to illuminate the gears. The lamp
was a model # 1825.
