Default GM Performace Cast Valve Covers

Who is using the GM Performance Parts cast aluminum valve covers. The one that has the raised bow tie and Chevrolet on them. I'm wondering what you are using for a PCV setup and breathers? I'm also wondering if you are using baffles, such as the baffled grommets?

Here is a picture of the valve cover:

i am. you can buy them in the high and low profile version. also with the option of drill your own baffle/pcv holes or buy them with the holes already done.your picture appears to be the drill your own hole style.

Drill your own holes. It's easy with a pilot hole and a step drill bit from Harbor Freight.

What do you do for baffles? These do not come with any baffles in them.

You can buy baffles, and hold them in with JB Weld.

jegs sell a nice one piece baffle/oil deflector. it covers all of your roller rockers and deflectls the oil to the points where it is most needed .there are many different styles but here is one from moroso. but myself i would just go with the covers that come with holes drilled and baffles installed already, they arent any more expensive.

I have those on my 80 that are predrilled. Here is a link to a picture before I put them on the car.

I got mine through Summit when I got all my top end rebuild stuff. I think I paid $280 for them if I remember correctly. They are spendy but really nice.

Problem is that the short covers are the ones that are drilled, tall ones are DYI. Tall, drilled & baffeled aren't there.
