Default Project under way...

Well I started preparations for the cam swap and intake upgrade. So far I have pulled the radiator support and radiator, fan, pulley, water pump, carb. and intake. I still have not made up my mind on the cam... right now I am leaning towards the XE262 as recommended by Ganey, matched with a performer intake.
The next hurdle is whether or not to keep and use the qjet. Its a question of going EGR or non EGR with the intake. Since I already have Hooker sidepipes, non EGR, we are kind of leaning towards non EGR intake and an Edelbrock 600cfm carb with electric choke Any thoughts?

Bill

Unless your Q-jet is totally trashed and NOT rebuildable, suggest you contact forum member 'lars', he does a lot of Q-jet rebuilds for C-3 forum members and does them for a lot less than you'll pay for a new Edelbrock 1406 carb., which will require purchase of a banjo fitting, and possibly additional brackets if you have cruise control. Just a thought................
