Default S L O W again......

I figured it out. They move our info to some server farm to 'save money'. So, now, when they get slow, we get slow. Can bet they're not going to allocate anymore servers or BW then they can get away with. basicly, we've been out sourced, wonder if were in India now? anybody smell curry? I know i smell something. upgrade huh?

"We're again experiencing performance issues. Internet Brandshas its tech staff working to identify and resolve the issue. It's my understanding the issue involves a load-sharing problem and affects all IB sites. Sorry for the inconvenience."

The forum seemed to work better BEFORE IB got involved.

I clicked on this thread yesterday and it just now popped up!

Seriously though. Very slooooooooow.
I've quit coming here as much as I did prior to the upgrade.
Just a waste of time usually waiting for things to open.
God help you if there are pictures in the thread!

The sad thing is that some of us rely on this forum for technical help while in the midst of a project.
I specifically put a computer in the garage while workign on my 68 so I could ask questions when I needed help.
Always received answers within minutes but at this rate it takes so long for anything to load up it is a real nuisance and waste of time.
I hope somebody does something because this really takes away from the value of what used to be one of the best forums on the internet for Corvettes.
If this keeps up, people will loose interest and go elsewhere.
I read some threads in the past about other web sites that were taken over by IB and how they went down hill.
Hope it is not our turn now

Default Crummy Performance on the Fourm

I thought it was just my old laptop that I've been using this past week. S L O W. I'm glad to know it's the system, well, not really. This service is terrible!!! And some threads are so WIDE that even when I reduce the size to 75%, I still have to scroll sideways to read the posts. TERRIBLE "UPGRADE". Too bad the hosting entity isn't concerned about US - they seemed more concerned with the Bottom Line, via more ads and reduced performance.
Cheers C3 folks,
Pete

My 2 cents on the past couple of days.

I still like the forum and check in throughout the day. I have learned to ignore the adds and appreciate the fact that we don't have to put up with the little adds that pop up and follow your cursor around (yet).

However, if it continues to be slow I will not be back. Don't read this as a threat because I know that no one would be wondering where I am. I am just stressing the fact that we can and will put up with certain things but slow ain't one of them.

Today, everything seems to be working much better. Thanks.

I think it is a tiny bit better today but the thing I notice is the post doesnt show up sometimes for 15 min. Are they waiting till they get a bunch and then posting them?

Yesterday I simply gave up while waiting. Today, it just seems to be a little slower.

IBTL...
, I have given up and closed my browser over 15 times this past week b/c its just soooo slow. All other sites work super fast.
So more of my attention has gone to the "other side" where the posts actually load before my bloodpressure rises and people are able to communicate......

I have also come around less due to speed issues. Thought it was just my ISP connection or something.

I think the other side has just as much info going on as they are more mature-aged these day. The forum is made up of people and those people can move to another forum at the speed of a click. If we all started migrating to the other forums, the group -knowlegde base- basically remains together. -problem solved.

I guess they have been very busy, but with an INFO sharing problem
And you guys thought the ads were bad.

Hope everyone has good protection.
Starting this afternoon, this is what I get everytime I click on something on this forum now. And no other websites.
