What do you guys think? Can she be brought back from the dead? Fiberglass isn't to hard right? I'm a c4 guy.. but I'd love a project. Also, its
cheap, cheap, cheap. I know cheap is never real cheap. but what do you say?
I can't see your pictures, but an '81 is a great car. You are right, cheap is not cheap, but the worse off it is to start with, the more like you want it you can make it. Also, with an '81, you don't really have to worry too much about keeping it original. God bless, Sensei

I guess it depends on how deep a 'project' you are looking for. If you can do almost any mechanical repair, weld and fabricate (big bonus) and do bodywork, and if you are fearless and have disposable income (a lot more than you expect) to spend then this might be a good project.
If you look at this car as a learning experience and enjoy the journey as much as the destination this might be a good project.
Since you are from Maine I would examine the frame and birdcage very carefully to see if you will have to do a body-off rebuild or a complete disassembly in the case of a rotted birdcage.
I'm one of the ones who enjoys the journey so if you look at the car as a hobby and don't obsess over it it won't drive you crazy (although I'm a little guilty of the obsession thing).
The delivery charge from Baghdad (an assumption based on war zone-esque condition) will eat you up too.
Unless it's damned near free and you are a glutton for punishment, I'd pass. These cars are not easy to work on, and you are going to have to work on every bit of that one.
