Yep, my '77 does the same thing. I'm just guessing, but that brake booster is vacuum operated, so I figure when you depress the brake pedal, it draws a vacuum for the booster, momentarily changing your idle. I think mine idles back to normal after a few seconds.

When pressing on the brake pedal of my 77 it idles higher. Normal idle at 620 and it will jump to about 650-660..
Why?
The vacuum in the booster should be captive, so if the idle goes up (and stays up), I believe it means there is a perforation in the diaphragm causing a vacuum leak when the brakes pedal is depressed.
