Just wondered a good mounting point in the front

Let's see a picture or two of the tow hook. I'd be interested in knowing how you did that; given the lack of structural strength of the front end.

You should be able to fab a bracket that bolts into your bumper bracket, remember they just want something to pull you out of the kitty litter.
