The L-48 in my '77 is (for a lot of reasons) pretty much toast, so I'm building up something new and improved from a remanufactured short-block.
Helpfully, I had an acquaintance buy an Edelbrock power package before he realized he was flat broke, so I picked it up for about five hundred bucks, and now I'm busy gathering everything else so I can bolt something together.
I'm stuck on pushrods, though. They seem to come in a whole bunch of different lengths, and I can't for the life of me figure out why. If anybody can fill me in (or better yet, just point me in the right direction on what part I should be looking for), I'd be much obliged
when you state the Edelbrock power package, are edelbrock cylinder heads included? If you have edelbrock rpm heads, your pushrods will have to be+.100 longer than the stock rods. If you have stock heads, stock length rods will be fine. Others will give replies also.
