79 Electric Tach Dropping Out
The stock tach drops out over 4k but works fine otherwise. Suspect the resistor but not sure because it still works at lower rpm. Is there a test other than swapping in another one?

No, I didn't try that, I was afraid of making things worse. But if it is already dead I guess I'm past that so I'll jump it out tonight and see if there is a difference. After all clip ons don't have any resistor circuit.
