Need some starter cable routing advice!
generally I'm a "by the book" kinda fella, this goes here, that goes there and that's the way the book says to do it.
However! The other day I had a starter cable loosen at the connection to the starter, rotate and then make contact with my hooker headers causing a melt down, a fire, and in the end burned a hole clean through the header pipe near it where it touched.
I can get the pipe patched and cleaned withing reason.
Now I'm looking to replace the starter cable with a new heavy duty 0/1 gauge (darn thick) unit. My problem is with the turbo 400 in the way.... I can't get up inside to pull out the old cable, and I'll be damned if I dropping the trans just to replace it!
I've had enough, this has gotten ugly and I have to believe someone out there has a better alternative routing or install for the cable.
My replacement cable is 100" (yes we made it at the base and its pretty neat).
Any suggestions appreciated!
