Yeah all that will happen after the cam comes and I can see which ones need clearancing if any.

Car builder. (Not Professionally).

I have seen other posts by you, including this one, that make me question your "Car Builder" credentials.

Never read any of Vizard's books have you?

BTW, what do you do for a living, besides post here?

Glen, you have the right to question whatever you want...that's the beauty of being human and freedom of thought. I commend you for it. However, you have now quoted my profile TWICE trying to make the same statement and neither times is it really impressing anyone. You're trying to read too much into a profile, for one, and second, you're ridiculing someone for not knowing something and asking questions. Isn't that what this forum is all about?

I've noticed you have not contributed anything at all to this thread with the exception of critiques towards ME only. Doesn't that kind of make you a hypocrite considering the thread is about asking a question that you make no attempt to address?

For a paycheck, I design and sell metal buildings. Anywhere from 30x40 to 300x400. You need one?

I'd be happy to post links to my "whoops" posts here where I've benefited from an online community, or detail times a VERY experienced engine builder has had me look at something they were strugging with as "another set of eyes" and I've seen something they haven't. Gosh, I guess I need to give up any "credentials" for the simple fault of being human! Yet I continue to add to my 150+ successful SBC builds. Go figure.

Welcome to my <ignore> list!

Here is an Eagle H Beam stroker rod. Notice one shoulder is longer than the other. They grind some off the shoulder at the factory as you can see in the second pic.

I always put tape around the lobes when I do a mock up in case the rods hit the cam. I try and use enough tape to make it about .040"-.050" thick that way if the rods don't hit I know I have at least that much clearance

Make sure you get it balanced
