So I was poking around the engine bay the other day and pulled this casting number off my q-jet. It's a remanufactured unit with the 7042237. Does anyone know what application this carb was originally used for and if it has the same performance characteristics as the factory q-jet.
Still trying to figure out what the previous owners have done to this baby lol.

is there any performance difference between a corvette and non-corvette Q-jet?
Is it just a matter of the jet size or are there some large differences? I'm mostly curious if it performs the same as any other 1972 Q-jet. Honestly, I dont care about numbers, just that it's working right and not a choke point on my engine. Thanks again
