Well, the car wont start and it looks like the battery crapped out on me. I noticed the autozone has several batteries for a 72 K-vin corvette ranging from 450-700 CCA. How many do I really need? It's pretty much stock minus a HEI ignition and an aftermarket head unit. The alternator was recently replaced so how much CCA is enough?
Read an article a while back that said reserve capacity was more important than additional CCA. Being in San Angelo, you can probably get by with a lot less CCA unless you plan to drive somewhere in the winter where it's colder than it oughta be (like Amarillo).
When it is time, I'm going to replace mine with one of the Sear's Diehard Platinums. Put one in my Suburban and love it. A redtop Optima would also be a good choice. Either are pricey but I like the idea of having a sealed battery behind my head.
