Default steering problem

So I have a new problem now! I think i must have touched something wrong when I was replacing all the hoses in the vett. Now when I drive her i really have to pull the steering wheel hard just to barely turn the car. It was pretty damn impossible to parallel park with the steering soooo stiff.

I was wondering what could cause this problem? Oh and fyi im really new to cars. I'm not too technical about them but I'm learning as I go, so yeah im a newb! but gotta start somewhere!

By "new hoses", do you mean power steering pressure lines? If you replaced those, are you certain you hooked them up just like the ones you removed? If so, there is also a procedure to go through to get the trapped air out of the cylinder and center the steering.

Power steering belt, hoses, pump, low on fluid? You didn't tighten the adjustment on top of the steering box, did you? If you adjust out the slack there and get it even slightly too tight, it will do what you are seeing. You could also have a mechanical part (steering linkage, etc) that seized and the power steering can't overcome it.
