One wire Alt
Not sure how to wire up the one wire Alt.Old Alt has one red,small black
and a plug in with one red and one brown.( looks brown ) what and where do these wires go?

A 1 wire alternator basically eliminates the voltage monitor/ and proper voltage regulation capability of the car. There is no reason to install a 1 wire into a stock configuration car,
and there are several reasons not to. install a 1 wire.

"Search" for 'one wire alt' in this forum. Look for the C3 posts. You will see more info (there's a lot of good data) and be open-minded to understand why the factory 3-wire is actually the better setup.
If you choose to go with a single wire anyway, you'll find what you seek. There will be diagrams available in many postings to assist the explanations.
