from front of car there is a hole just to the left of the master brake cylinder the tack and oll line go thru there the grommet should have the 2 holes in it I cked my assembly manual also good luck
ok how about the Tach cable which grommet Hole ?
The grommet hole next to the accelerator cable should be; Tach and oil line ?
The lowest hole should be the Speed-o line ?
sorry for mutipule questions, but I only want to do this once !
In the 4 hole grommet.... Oil line at 12, M40 wire (auto) and back-up lamps at 3, tach cable at 6, and A31 (P/W) at 9.
In the 3 hole grommet (hole closest to M/CYL) all vacuum lines.
In 1 hole re-inforced grommet (lowest hole) speedometer cable.

Alan
thanks, Alan that is exactly what I needed,
I took on this project in boxes, so I never saw the orginal configuration.
so far this had been the only area where I was unclear what went where,
everything else, has been well within my capabilities, including complete frame off, and firewall removal, and Birdcage restoration. have not had the need for a AIM.
until today ! thanks, 69VETT
EVERYONE who opens the hood on a 68-72 Corvette should hear a voice from GOD that tells them to buy the AIM for their year car AND the GM Chassis Service Manual for their year car.
With these two aids they will only be in the dark about 90% of the time.
If you're dumb like me it'll be 98% of the time.
You should see a color blind person work on a wiring harness!?!?
Regards,
Alan
