New water pump help
Hey all, i am looking to get a new water pump for my 1980. And i had some questions. I have noticed that they ask to specify if it is a short or long style, and i have no idea. Which one should i get? i want to keep the stock belt locations, and am probably going to go with electric fan, thanks all,

For an 80 & most c3 ... it ain't a long and it really ain't a short either ... it's a short casting but with a longer hub to block length that's specific to a vette. It's a vette pump ... not a standard/universal short nor long. 80 vette needs that vette specific length for correct alignment of stock 80 vette brackets,pulleys & belts ... a standard/universal short will fit & run but the pulleys&belts won't align like they should. Stock-replacement vette pump is plenty ... it won't pump any better than the others but it'll fit right.
