Primary throttle shaft loose in the bore. Is there a tolerence for play here? How much is too much? Can you give me a figure in thousanths" ? If too loose, how to fix and where to get bushings?

Even a brand new Q-Jet has a bit of slop in the shafts - it's noticable. I have bushings for them and can pop one in for you (in most cases, you only need to install a single bushing on the driver's side of the primary shaft), or I can send you one if you'd like to do it yourself.
I'll measure a good one and a bad one this evening and see if I can give you a range for "acceptable slop" and "too much slop."
Thanks lars, that would be great if I had # to compare with. Im not out to make this thing perfect. If it is too sloppy, I would like to explore the options of getting it fixed. ill let it go if not too loose since this vehicle doesnt get used all that much. I really apprecieate your help.
