Default Need headers with more clearance on number 4 plug wire....

What brand of full length headers is everyone using that provide a decent amount of clearance for the number 4 plug wire. The other 7 have plenty of room. I'll be doing the break-in on my 408 (400+.040) this weekend with the old rusty 1 1/2" headers. Number 4 only has about 1/16" clearance. I'm using a set of Taylor 8mm with a 90 degree boot. Whatever I end up with, I plan on having them Jet-Hot coated. Thanks.

I don't have the part number but several companies including Auto-Lite sell shorty plugs for header applications. They give more clearance.

I'll make an assumption that you have straight in short reach peanut style tapered plugs. Back when I had 186 casting and then angle plug 292 casting double hump heads I had the 1 1/2 in headman headers for C-3 corvettes and it worked fine. Later when they melted I bought Hooker S/C 1 3/4 and they worked fime

Accel makes U-groove shorty spark plugs. Overall length has been reduced 1/4" - 3/8", depending on the plug.
