Default Steeroids mounting question

I have all the steering removed and went to put in the passenger sidebracket. No Go! Trying to get it to line up with the idler arm holes I am about 3/4 to 1 inch to low with the bracket. The bracket will not slide far enough up. It bumps into the motor mount bracket on the frame. Not even close. I have a call in to them but no response yet. Anyone else run into this? Only me can this happen to.
I bought the kit from another forum member and it is for an 80-82 but when I called Steeroids they said the only difference was the lines were different, nothing about the brackets being different.

Gordon, your tech message had a garbled phone number so we need your number again.

To answer your question there is no difference in brackets between model years. There are different brackets that we have produced based on fitment issues such as yours so we need to know what version of that bracket you have. There should be a stamped letter on it. The current version is 'C' which I think I can make that out from your picture but I need confirmation.

Whoa, hold on a second. After looking at your photo a little more I can see that the bracket has been modified. The hole pattern for the idler arm has been relocated down on the bracket about 1.25" and the top of the bracket (with the original hole) has been cut off. That hole in the middle of the three is actually the lower hole for the idler.

Bracket was modified after looking at it more carefully. Thanks for the help and the clarification.
