Default parking lights

Hi guys,
I am new to vettes. I finally broke down and bought my favorite year a 73 L-82. The car is in great shape, all stock, but the parking lights come on even with the car and lights are off draining the battery. I changed the switch out but it is still doing it. Has this happen to anyone else. Any suggestions.

I'd start looking a the wiring harness to the forward lights. Something is getting to the feed for the park lights, most likely, since you already changed the headlight switch. I would look at the harness around the alternator and where the harness goes past the horn relay (73 still had the relay on the left fender?) or there is a hot post there anyway, for a hole rubbed thru there getting into the bundle..

also look at the hazard or emergency flasher, it may be feeding power tothe lights but not flashing, just staying on.
