The "convector" is the final amplifier stage for the [original] Delco radio. It consists of a finned aluminum heat sink, one power transistor [mono radio; or two transistors if stereo], capacitors and wiring. The convector is located on the inside of the firewall behind the right-side dash panel. It works in conjunction with the radio head in the gauge bezel and should be removed and kept with the Delco head, in case you would ever want to use it again [or sell it].

Its a crucial component in the cooling and phase shifting dimension of the flux capacitor,removing it could cause you to be trapped in a different time continuum.Ahh Crap!!!!I'm in the wrong two seater forum again!
