Hi

I am very curious. What is the serial number of the car as I have a October 67 car too.

My 05 Oct 67 ( C 05 ) build Vette has VIN 1.391

I would say that any VIN in the 5.000 region would be a Nov. car.

Yes a 5000 vin would be more like December.
Gunther,
Our cars were built within a day of each other. I have 1273 and assumed a 10/4 build date. Interesting.

I would think with patience you can find a bare block for $200-300 that needs machined. I'd pass on this one.

I actually found a 678 block with a 68 date stamp. It will be installed as a replacement block, not numbers matching. Should at least help the value a little.

jsh431 please PM me and I can give you more info on what you will need to get the stamping right.

Any chance you could post apicture and what the original colors and options were? Is the car a 327/300 or a 327/350 cat? $ speed?

Trim plate should be E 04, or December 4, 1967

Engine assembly date should be fairly close, there is little lag in the 327 dates in this range of serials.
