u-joint bolts on '80 Auto

u-joint bolts on '80 Auto
I couldn't find anything in my tool box that fits those 6 point bolts on the half shafts last night. I forgot to look at them this morning in my rush to get to work. Can anyone tell me the socket size that fits those little buggers so I can pick it up today at lunch?

I was mistaken I think they are actually 12 point and probably metric as a lot of other fasteners on the rearend are metric. I guess I'll just drop by Sears and pick up a full metric 12 point set. I'll probably need them along the way anyway.

If you can get one off, take it with you. I took my tranny out this past Sunday afternoon and the only thing in my box that would fit was a 1/4" 12 pt end wrench. My low quality 12 pt socket would not hold, nor would the #12 inverted torx which I think is supposed to be the correct tool. I'm just saying you may want to take one with you just to save a trip.
