They're based out of Lakeland, FL; where I live. Ford Heacock is the owner; descent guy I guess. Heacock has regular insurance lines as well as their "classic" line. I have policies with them for regular but I don't have my classic with them. I got tired of arguing with them over what my '81 was worth. They aren't real quick to agree to their side of the agreed value coverage. They want to cover my '81 for $20K and I want to cover it for something more in the $30K - $35K range. They don't care what receipts you have or how much time/money/special parts you have in the car. They are basically just looking at a book to see what they sell for on average. I have tried twice now over the last couple of years to work with them on a classic policy but they just end up ticking me off so I walk away. I most recently tried about 3 months ago. Maybe you will have better luck.
