Float level with a flat intake
So when I set my float level I jacked up the rear until the carb set level and then set the float level
For those who know carbs does that seem the best to do considering the circumstances or would you set the float height with the car level (carb on an angle) as best as can be done?
Thanks in advance
Doug

YOU'RE GOING TO WANT TO SET YOUR FLOATS WITH THE CAR ON THE GROUND, THE WAY IT WOULD DRIVE DOWN THE ROAD.
HOPE THIS HELPS.
LOOKING TO SEE IT ON THE ROAD SOON.

Hi Bill
That sound logical and is how I first set them but when some tuning probelms persisted i contacted QFT about tunning my 950 circle track carb. When I talked to one of the two owners he was the one who told me to jack up the car and set the floats on a level carb...... being an owner and designer gives him some credit in my book although his recomendation does not sit quite right with me.
Because there are a lot of tuners and builders here as well as ones who seem to dismiss intakes that do not allow the carb to set level on an installed motor I thought it would be good to ask.
