not too sure what model i have

if its a silver anniversary it looks like this

and then it could be an ordinary 1978 corvette any colour 4speed or auto, L48 or L82
or
are all the vettes made in 1978 say 25 year anniversary and there just broken down into 3 models?

To commorate the 25th Anniversary, a special paint scheme was offered - the special 2 tone silver "Silver Anniversary Edition".
Another special paint scheme was offered as the 78 Corvette was picked to lead the Indy 500 - a black over silver Limited Pace Car.
The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
vetteman1978's got it right. There were 3 Corvette "models" in 78. You had the base car, all of which had the 25th anniversary emblems and were painted all one (solid) color.
The Silver Anniversary package was a regular production option (RPO) for the base car. The option code for the package was BZ2 and included the two-tone silver over charcoal paint, as well as aluminum wheels and sport mirrors as part of the package. As an RPO, there was no limit on how many could be built or ordered, as such, 15,283 of the 40,000+ 78's built, had the Silver anniversary package. On the Trim Tag found inside the drivers side door jam, original Silver Anniversary cars will show the paint code as 13/07. Cars originally painted solid silver will show the code as 13.
The Pace Car was a special model, built to commerate the Corvette being "chosen" to pace the 78 Indy 500. 6,502 Pace Cars were built, basically one per Chevrolet dealer. Original 78 Pace Cars have a unique VIN number to differentiate them as a separate, Corvette model. The eighth digit in the VIN of the Pace Car is a "9", all other 78's have a "4" in this position. As a separate model, the 6,502 Pace Cars are not included in the production numbers of 40,274 regular Corvettes built in 78, but are in addition to them. The Trim Tag on a Pace Car shows the paint codes as 19/47 and the interior trim code as 15C for silver Cloth or 152 for silver leather. St. Louis stopped production of regular Corvettes in mid March and only built Pace Cars from March through early May. All Pace Cars were delivered with a decal under the front fender flag emblems that said "Limited Edition" and Indy "Winged Wheel" logo decals on the rear quarter panels. Included with the car were a set of "Official Pace Car" door decal logos, identical to those on the real 500 Pace Car, that were to be dealer installed if the buyer chose to have them installed.

The "silver anniversary" model was a paint option, by the logic that it represents a seperate model corvette, then every red corvette is a seperate model, every white one, every blue one etc...just my .02

It's just that when you consider how darn many Silver Anniversary's were built, to many people, they have pretty much come to represent a whole additional line of Corvettes for that year.
Now stop picking on me.
