Whoa!
Have you tried adding greese to the little zerk on the bottom of the cylinder? sometimes it can slow down a leak... sometimes
Auto zone has some pretty good prices if you can find a good sales person... most cant find it on the computer
My PS control valve is leaking and I've been reading up on how to remove it. Do a search for "Power Steering" or "Control Valve" using the Corvette Forum search engine. It should give you very good idea what kind of a can of worms you will be opening. Probably, nightmares, er, I mean, nightcrawlers. :D
But, with two of you, a specifc puller tool, and some time, you can probably handle the task. Remember the warning about keeping your hands free of the steering wheel when powering up the car after the job is done. (It's in the old thread I mentioned)
This is a little off topic, but while I have the PS system torn apart, I'm going to replace some suspension bushings including the lower control arm bushings. At least I think I am. :jester So, you might look at the suspension, etc., while your under the car to see if you can kill two birds with one stone.
Good luck,
Rexx

Then tell them what part you need.
That cylinder should be about $90.00.
Should be a pretty straight forward job once you crawl under there.
