Default Machine block work II

Max performance with stock apperance 70 L46. I made my mind up to rebuild the # matching block. Disassemble the short block this weekend and take it to the machine shop. If their no issuses, then rebuild with all new quality parts(crank, rods and pistons) and balance, blueprint.

assume 70 L46 350ci motor has OE heads w/ comb chamber volume that's very close to 64cc. it's stated owner wants new crank, rods & pistons AND balancing included in this rebuild.

Based on that:

build a 383 with dished (aka reverse dome) pistons.

what do you consider is max performance? My 71 Lt1 is rather stock appearing other than headers and lager true duals. I have probably in the low 400 hp range with a solid cam.

even with modded double hump heads like I have you're probably limited to 400 or less HP with cast iron exhaust manifolds

What do you mean by blueprint, main line, cam tunnel, lifter bores, decks, cylinders, ETC thats alot of money spend on a block.

The cylinder heads (#186) minor pocket porting and CC'd. Intake GM performance cast iron version of the LT-1. 2.5" iron manifolds. I want to keep a stock apperance, I'll retain L46 cam, keep the compression at 10.25:1 I though of buying new crank ,rods, pistons (lighter and stronger) pistons and rods I have to buy anyway. Machine work not to sure, tell the machine shop has inspected the block. My idea of blueprinting to check and measure and correct accordingly with in reason. I know that the HP will be limited thats fine for my car. I'm throwing this out their to get feedback to help me make decision's when the time comes for the rebuild and machine work.

if it's a matching numbers block be sure they don't machine the serial numbers off the block.
