The time has arrived to replace the carpets in my 1980 (oyster interior, silver carpets). There seem to be several options avaialble. The car has had many parts replaced, so I'm not burdened with trying to use original equipment. Of the types I've seen, jute backing or insulated foil backing are available through the popular catalogs. Prices all seem pretty close. Can anyone share there experience with carpet replacement jobs, and which vendors they prefer? Thanks.
I placed my order with Wilcox this morning. Thanks for the feedback. Any tips on removing the carpet from the seat backs and compartment covers? What is a good adhesive to use when installing the new carpet?

The compartment covers will be tough...everything else use a heat gun and if you need to a putty knife or scraper.
A great adhesive is 3M brand, and use either 77 or 90 strength.
Go with Willcox. Purchased carpet for my 81 and fit to a tee. I put dynmat in the doors and on the floor, then layered with reflex on the floors before carpet. I used the 3M77.
