I was taking some pics............. and noticed these #'s on what looks like a wraper . Its located against the firewall between the wiper motor and the wiper door lever that triggers the wiper switch.
I'll have to check it! I'm going to my office in about 30 minutes to pick up some stuff paper work, I'll pull off the cover and give it a look. I won't be back for a few hours, I have to make some other stops (Steaks, Veggies and Taters). . Cooking out tonight.
It may be the part number tag for the harness, most GM harness' carried a tag to ID them by.

Willcox
......
I added a few more pics to the vacume hose color thread
I didn't find anything at that point on my 71's harness. Mr. Wilcox could well be right about it being a harness ID. I did find a small wrap of light blue tape on the engine harness very close to the firewall connection. I always figured it was an identification.
Regards,
Alan
PS: Now that I've looked at the picture again, I'm not sure just what the tag is on... is it on the vacuum hoses and not the harness?
I forgot to look, I'm sorry! I have a thread going on the NCRS site for a restoration we are doing and needed some pictures of a 63 spindle support and just got wrapped up in this and forgot to look at my 72.
I'll see if I can find the org. number for the harness, this may validate my theory.
I'll be in the office on Tuesday and I'll check again.
Hammad, Yup! Got them. . . I just need to find the time to finish this. My MIL passed away last month and we have been busy moving things

I think it wraps around a hose and a harness. Ill have to get a better look next week. Iwas only taking random pics of things and that tag caught my eye. Ill take a pic further back with the label centered against the firewall
