if you have a bent pushrod that has to be replaced first and foremost.

You need to do a lot more work than just adjusting the rockers. You have a bent push rod and you need to find out why.

? ran the heck out of it (hi rpm) .... pumped up lifters & floated valves ... bent a pushrod or two ... maybe even had a valve or two hit piston(s)?????

Better look to see if any of the 16 lifters has puked its thin wire retainer out the top of each lifter.

sounds like the cam is wiped, or lifther, either way it bent your pushrod. if cam wore on one of the lopes, it frozed the lifther then bent rod, if lifther frozed first, it wore the cam then bent rod....either way, the rod wont bent on its own. one way to check cam. take off one valve cover then run motor, look to see if all the rockers are moveing the same height, if one isnt going as high, then that lope is worn on the cam. be sure to check both sides. i know this cuess i just went tro this, have to change cam lifthers rod's. good luck

Default replaced pushrods

when i replaced the push rods ,i watched all the lifter's very closely to see if the where all working and the oil was pumping out the top of them .
i was covered in oil after but all seamed fine and where moving about the same height and oil was spraying out of the top of them .
but it runs well now .
