Default Estimate hp/tq???

I would appreciate it if someone could run estimated hp/tq numbers for me - Thanks in advance!

This is an L82 engine (stock bottom end) with all smog stuff removed
Transmission: M21 close-ratio 4-speed
Rearend: 3.55 positraction

Carb: Holley 670cfm Street Avenger

Intake manifold: Edelbrock 2101 Performer (heat crossover blocked and added lifter valley baffle to keep heat down)

Heads: S/R Torquer, 67cc chambers, 170cc intake runners, Manley 2.02I/1.60E valves, Comp Cams 1.52 roller tip rockers, Comp Cams valve springs, retainers & 7 deg locks

Pistons are the original aluminum, flat head, notched, slipper skirt (in very good condition)

Cam: Comp Cams XE262H, 0.462/0.469 lift, 218/224 deg duration, 110 deg LSA

Ignition: Rebuilt/Recurved HEI distributor with MSD 48kv coil in cap

Compresion ratio: I think should be 9.5-9.8:1 with steel shim head gaskets

Timing Chain: Cloyes double roller

Exhaust: 2-1/2 dual exhaust, no catalyic converter

Exhaust manifolds: Dynomax ceramic coated corvette headers 1-5/8" primaries

Fans: Dual electric (stock water pump driven fan removed)

Ganey got a lucky guess! :jester
His numbers look exactly like my numbers from Desktop Dyno.
Your motor is very close to mine. I plan on putting my car on a dyno later this winter, I'll post the results.

Thanks Guys.... Now that all the parts are ready to go on, I'm having a hard time waiting until it's a few degrees warmer in the garage.

Seems I have close to the same set up.
I was hoping to be at around 375HP.

I knew it wouldn't be anywhere near 375hp without a bigger cam and maybe smaller cc heads. But that's ok for me.

If I can get it up to 1hp/1ci at the flywheel the I'm satisfied for how I intend to drive the car.

I was debating not installing headers for awhile, but I think they are going to produce enough of a gain that it would be worth doing it now.

One more question.

IF I did not install the headers now, how much of a loss by retaining the stock manifolds? 15-20hp? These are the rams-horn (straight down 2" dump).

Sorry Ken I can't answer your question but I also have one I'm hoping will be answered.

If I was at base 300 HP to begin with I would think I'd be at 375 HP or so with my mods.
Could I only have a 50HP increase over stock?

The numbers I had were 354 HP at 5000 RPM - 401 TQ at 3500 AND 4000 RPM using your first set up.
With stock exhaust manifolds the numbers are 318 HP at 5000 RPM and 377 TQ at 3500 RPM.

Steve - Thanks. Just trying to think ahead to later in the year when I'll be dropping the gas tank to remove the bladder and I thought since I'll probably be dropping the rear exhaust anyway I'd get everything welded up for the change to headers at the same time. Guess I'll try to get those headers on as soon as I can for that kind of payback tho....
