O.E. Fuelpump

I have just installed a edlebrock 2101 manifold & a 1406 carb on my 77 stock l-48. is the stock pump to much pressure for this setup? just wondering what you other folks are running for a mechanical pump out there. will edlebrocks pump work with our cars having a return line at the pump? ........Thanks

I ran my 70 on an Edelbrock fuel pump without a return for several years like that with no problem.

try a fuel pressure regulator and keep the pressure under 6 psi. Go to edelbrock.com and it will tell you about the pressure

Stock is up to about 7 PSI; just ensure your Edelbrock pump doesn't require a regulator.

Q-jets are as sensitive about fuel pressure as any carb out there.
I doubt that you will have any problem sticking with the stock pump.

I have the same set up as you with stock gm fuel pump with return line. No issues, no stumbles, runs great
