The plate that covers the power window motor is missing. The motor strains and the window jams when using. I do not see a mount hole on the motor which would mount to the missing panel. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
The plate that covers the hole is just an inspection cover, nothing mounts to it. You could have a couple problems, or a combination of problems. The motor could be tired, the regulator may have some broken or missing teeth (very common problem) and the various nylon rollers on the door glass or on the regulator may be worn causing them to bind.

In some years the motor did mount to this plate. This is a good thing because the regulator assembly needs help to support the torquing of the motor. When the lower end of reg is allowed to go back and forth when the window reaches full up or down this is when jamming occurs.
Bob99..you'll notice on the motor is a rubber pad..this is there to limit the movement of the motor...this was a cheap alternative to a mount attached to the motor.
Find some motor mounts, drill a hole in the cover plate and get the motor secured and the windows will work better.
