Default Question for Zwede

Zwede,
I read your replys on adding power door locs and have a question on the relays.
Did you find a 12V double poll relay to simplify the reverse polarity wiring, or did you end up with 4 relays. Or better yet, does anyone make a dpdt, momentary, center off relay?

Gary,

All you need is 2 standard bosch-style STDP relays. I used a 3rd relay for anti-theft, but only 2 are needed for the door locks.

I didn't see any double pole relays on the site you reccomended, but I get the idea. I'll check around here locally, but our auto parts stores are worthless w/o a P/N.
Thanks,
Gary

Parts express has them. Part number 330-073. $0.99 ea. Genuine Bosh (which is what I got) is PN 330-070 and costs $1.99 ea.

Just do a search for "relay" on their page.

Also get their relay sockets for a clean install. Only $1.99. Pep boys wanted $20!

I just found everything. I was thinking about wiring it with DPST or DPDT relays, but when I saw the twin SPDT wiring harness I figured it out. Thanks again for the info.
BTW, I noticed they have 2 motor driven (one $4.00 and a $10.00) actuators and one square box that looks like a solenoid actuator. I think I saw photos of yours and it's the solenoid box mounted behind the armrest. Any input on which kind of actuator you chose?

The picture was from another members install. I used the gun-style omega actuators at $10/ea. I think both will work.
