Default 1973 roadster

How rare and valuable is a 73' roadster with A/c,4 speed and the L-82 motor? All opti9ons are factory installed but no paper work. Under 100k miles. I have a chance to purchase one for 28,000. Is it worth that much? Thanks Robbie

they made 30000 73 vettes, about 1 in 6 were convertibles, one in 3 had AC, 1 in 3 had 4-speed, the L82 is about 1 in 5

so if you are a statistician, then the car is about 1 in 300, depending on other options, and if the color is rare..

28K ...it should be very nice original or an older nice restoration with no frame or bird cage issues......

It sounds like a very nice combination of options on a good year of Vette. Not particularly rare, but certainly uncommon. If everything is in extremely good condition, I would still think $28k is on the high end. If there are any rust issuesor the paint isn't very good, then it is too high.

It would have to be an NCRS Top Flight/Duntov car to ask that much money. Most are under 20K with those options.

Not sure about the 1 in 300 claim, I think you're missing a '0'.

If I had to pick a Shark, that would be the one, in any color.
28K is the high end for a 350.

$28K is WAY too high in today's market. As Mike Ward indicated, if it was "perfect" it would command top-dollar. Today, that top-dollar is about $20-22K max.

I've been looking for that model with just those options and I agree it sounds on the HIGH side.
I've got a post going right now with issues on one I just bought for a lot less.
Try to find someone in your area that really knows these cars and have them take alook.Good Luck.
