heater core seals
Thanks
I'm glad that I didn't buy it. I swapped out my heater core (wow, wasnt THAT fun!) and where things looked like they needed replaced (the seals for the movable doors) I just used some "D" shaped hatch gasket material I had laying around. I resealed the whole outer perimeter with silicone caulk, after cleaning off the old gunk.
Works great, last a long time. I think that seal kit is a waste of money, but I can certainly understand why you bought it, because you also wanted to "do it right".
And yes, this was a 76 w/AC, not my Avatar picture car. Speaking of which, maybe you could answer my recently posted VIR question since no one else here wanted to answer such a simple thing.
