My original clock in my 1970 Corvette works (!) with the exception that the **** is broken off - looks like the shaft is damaged too. I have a replacement **** and sleeve but there's not enough shaft to secure it. Is there anywhere I can purchase just the replacement shaft? I have enough small-mechanical skills to rebuild it but need the part.
Any advice or am I hosed?
Thanks
Simon.
Cr@p - just realized I may have posted in the wrong forum area...apologies.
Simon, those shafts are very easy to replace. There is only a little gear pressed on the bottom that holds the shaft in place. Just be careful not to lose the spring when you are removing the gear. You can buy a new shaft here C3 Clock Set Shaft

Hi Binnie,
I like to, think!?, that I know what early 70 parts are out there. BUT, you found one I didn't know about! Thanks and Well Done!
