Just finished the frame work on my 72 convertible and am ready to order the suspension parts. I already have the offset trailing arms for the rear and am looking at the complete vette brakes system for the front and rear with fiberglass springs and tubular control arms for the front.
I will be using the car to have fun, occasional dragstrip duty, occasional road track, mostly street driving. My questions are 1) who has used the vette brakes system and are they happy with the result? 2) are there any other systems out there, air ride etc that are better? 3) am I just wasting money that could be better spent else where for what I will be using the car for?
I know this is a lot for one thread just want to benefit from others experience before I start ordering.
i have the same VB suspension up front and the TRW spring in the rear. couldn't be happier w/the ride. make sure u get the bilstein shocks all around w/yer upgrade. pics here http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v3...lato/?start=40
Thanks. Your suspension looks great. Hope mine turns out as good. I would still like to hear from anyone who has tried an air ride suspension to compare the two. I PM'd vette brakes yesterday for some more info. Trying to figure out if they have different kits for big and small blocks or it is same kit with a different setting on the spring.
