I have a Craftsman tap & die set. Fairly old set. The T-handle slides out of the holder. Then the top is a square hole. That square hole is for any 3/8" drive ratchet or extension. I had the thing for years before I realized that's what the square hole was for. If yours has it, then try it otherwise go with the extension ideas.
