Default Connecting rod nuts

I lost a couple of the nuts from my connecting rod bolts. Can I use something like this? http://www.jegs.com/i/ARP/070/300-8302/10002/-1 . Its a 3/8'' - 24, 12-Point, Black Oxide. Is there a special nut needed for connecting rods? I dont see any sold singly on Jegs or Summit. Id rather not have to change all the bolts just because I lost a couple of nuts.
Thanks

I'll send you a few free ones if you like. The nuts are really not the weak point anyway, it's the head of the bolt on the rod side that causes the problems.

Thanks for the offer but I just ordered arp replacements that came with nuts. From what Ive been reading you shouldn't reuse the bolts anyway.

This turned into a fiasco. I decided not to change the bolts because the SPS bolts are supposed to be very very good and there was no way for me to get the rods checked for roundness after swapping the bolts. I just ordered nuts in 3/8 24 to fit. It turns out the thread on the sps bolts is UNJ so the regular thread nuts dont fit. I found a place that has the sps rod bolts for a 350 chevy but the minimum they will sell is 4 and they are $25 each. I'm also not sure if they will be the right thread since they are for a sbc. $100 not including shipping seems like alot to spend without even being sure they will fit. Im not sure how to even measure UNJ threads. I'm assuming its the same as standard threads but cant find much info about them online. Does anyone know where to get nuts with a UNJ thread from? Ive done alot of searching online but apart from finding out they are used in the aerospace industry I'm not finding much that can help me. I only need one nut and this is holding up everything at this point. This started off as fun now its just frustrating and sours my mood every time I walk in the garage.

Oh yeah I had a great Thanksgiving. Got to go with Sarah to Louisville again and see all of her family. It was a nice long fun vacation until we both came down with a stomach virus the day we left for the normally 6 hour drive that turned into a 10 hour drive because of so many holiday travelers. Sarah and I were barfing in plastic Wal-Mart bags on the highway on the way home. One of Sarah's bags leaked while she was heaving and we ended up with a lake of vomit under her passenger seat. Then we both got colds as soon as we got over the virus...but now we're healthy again.

Food poisoning from having regular nuts?!?!? Do special nuts imunize you against that?
