Default power steering conversion for BB

Can anyone share some insight on the conversion? how did it work? how complicated it was to do the conversion, of course how much?

I am interested in the Rack and pinion conversion, I know several companies are offering this conversion, can anyone share some pro and con on these products?

Thanks for the help.

I can get you a discount on the rack setup from VBP...as I am a dealer for them, but if you want to go w/the original style setup....I also, sale complete conversion kits that are rebuilt/new from Lonestar, and I have a original pump/pulley/lower bracket from a 71 BB car,and the power steering rack.I am missing the belt, the power steering fluid, and the top pump bracket, but can get you one of those discounted too.
I have the pump for sale in the parts section, but the stuff is getting ready to go to ebay.I will make you a nice price...
As for the install....not that big of a job.A Saturady morning start, and getting suds later in the afternoon.

Bought a used system off a forum guy 2 years ago. It was one of the best things I did to the car. Not a young buck anymore and the fight with the steering was getting tough. It was done while rebuilding the front suspension, steering box and installing a zz454. Needed to some minor shiming (washers) on some of the brackets to get pulleys toline up, did all this work while the engine was on a stand, it was fairly easy. My $0.02 good move.
