doesnt someone make a front spoiler for a 77 to make it look like the 80-82 ? if so where can i get it ? does anyone have pics of it on a car ? thanks
Although I believe there is a replacement front-bumper cover for the pre-'79 C3s that looks-like the late C3 nose, I don't think it will provide you with the wider spoiler that is integrated into the '80-up cars.
The front bumper-cover on '80-up cars extends to the wheel-well, just above the front side-marker light
while the '79 & earlier cover wraps under the car
The first items at the Right of this page show the '80-up styled bumpers ONLY for early C3s, and you can see they don't include the chin-spoiler
I have a 79 and went with an 80-82 front end. you'll need to buy some patch panels and glass them in to make the 80's bumper work. it's not a hard job if you're familiar with fiberglass.
just my opinion but if you do go this route don't buy the patch panels from vanacor.....very poor quality....I put them on and then had to back them with 4 layers of glass cause they were so thin. i sanded through them while glassing them in. I'm also having to re-form the front corners of them where they meet the bumper at cause they didn't mate up well at all. remember with fiberglass you usually pay for what you get.
here's my pictures from my little project and there's more pictures in the photobucket link in my signature.

Yes it does. Before seeing that one I didn't think too much about the idea of going this route, but I have to admit I now consider it as a possibility for my '78.
We carry the 78 Pace car style fron spoiler which will mount up with no problems to any of the 73-79 Corvettes. Let me know if you are interested. I posted a link to it on our website below.
